Meet the child
Sophia has cerebral palsy (CP). The term cerebral palsy includes a whole complex of various disorders of the nervous and muscular systems that occur in children.
Since birth, the girl has been undergoing regular treatment and rehabilitation, thanks to which she has achieved significant success. However, unfortunately, spasticity (tension) of the lower extremities does not allow Sophia to walk independently.
Currently, the method of solving this problem is selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) - an operation to relieve spasticity (muscle stiffness) in cerebral palsy. Sophia is recommended to undergo this operation.
Selective dorsal rhizotomy is a great chance to remove spasticity forever and lead a full life without barriers.
