In 2006 Nikita was diagnosed with a terrible diagnosis - acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After treatment in the Centre of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology the disease has receded. However, in 2011, a relapse occured and the boy went though a bone marrow transplantation. Director of the Centre of Prdiatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology writes: "Alien marrow has adjusted 100% and the malignant disease can be forgotten. However due to the reaction "graft versus host" that plagues the skin, subcutaneous tissues, joints, gastrointestinal tract, liver and lungs, Nikita can remain disabled for life and be bedridden. All treatment options have been used for this reaction, the disease ceased to progress. The only effective treatment possible is extracorporeal photopheresis." Nikita is indicated to undergo 12 courses of treatment, the required supplies (procedural kits and solution) that need to be purchased account to 37,420 Euros. "Belgazprombank" has provided charitable assistance in the amount of 86 million BYR. Parents raised funds in the amount of 116 million BYR. The remaining amount to be raised is 19,384 euros.
