Charming baby has has a giant congenital dangerous birthmark, a nevus, located in the area of left arm. This neoplasm, in addition to the aesthetic component, represents a potential hazard - it grows with the growth of the child and can at any time degenerate into a malignant formation of skin, melanoma. Surgical excision is the standard of care.

The tissue expansion for the treatment of giant congenital melanocytic nevi is best method to choose and exposes potential advantages over traditional techniques. This method allows you to eliminate significant area defects with a complete absence of scars, optimal aesthetic and functional results can be obtained using the method. This will require several stages of surgical treatment.

There are 3 stages in the treatment of giant congenital melanocytic nevi of the upper extremities using tissue expansion: first, the expander is inserted into the subcutaneous pocket; second, the expander is removed, lesions were excised, and the wound of the upper extremity is placed into the pocket to delay healing; third, the residual lesion is excised and the pedicle is removed. The pedicle flap is then unfolded to resurface the wound.

An surgical operation will be performed by specialists of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Moscow city. RNRMU has many years of experience in eliminating of such disorders. Hospitalization at the RNRMU is scheduled for July 8, 2019 for the first stage of surgical intervention.
