Arseny suffers from congenital affection of kidney and liver. Congenital cystic disease of both kidneys is accompanied by cysts in the liver and burdened with a rare syndrome Karoly (secondary nodular cirrhosis of the liver). Children with kidney disease that leads to kidney failure must receive treatment to replace the work the kidneys do. Unfortunately, chronic kidney disease does not go away with treatment and tends to get worse over time. The two types of treatment are dialysis and transplantation.
Doctors had been observing the boy from birth offering supporting therapy and waiting until the child grows up to the age of two years when it was decided to transfer him to a permanent peritoneal dialysis. Until recently, the mother of the boy has been conducting the whole procedure by herself at home.
Seven years passed, during which Arseniy got used to get to permanent dialysis procedures. The boy grew up, became a schoolboy - he is already studying in the second grade, is fond of computer technologies, attends an art school, dreams of creating exciting worlds of computer games in the future!
