Andrey Kabetov

In June 2012, Andrey was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Since that time, the boy is being treated at the Children's Centre of Oncology, Hematology and Immunology. The boy has abided four courses of the strongest chemotherapy that allowed Andrey to enter into remission, and now he is advised to undergo a bone marrow transplant (BMT). At this point, Andrey is diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, refractory anemia with excess of blasts in the phase of transformation. This means that there is a high risk of relapse of cancer in the absence of BMT - the donor is already found, the operation is scheduled for December 20, 2012. Andrey is in need of drugs Foscavir, Vistide throughout the post-transplant period to prevent possible complications, and in order to ensure survival and function of donor cells. The total price of the course of drugs is 11 000 euros. Part of the sum will be paid by the mother of Andrey, the rest 6500 Euro needs to be raised.
