"Help for children with tuberous sclerosis" program

"Help for children with tuberous sclerosis" program

This program was implemented under the Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus during 2018-2020.

The program was aimed at providing charitable assistance in paying for the expensive drug Everolimus to patients with epileptic syndrome in tuberous sclerosis without subependymal giant cell astrocytomas under the age of 18 years.

Taking the drug Everolimus reduces the risks of adverse outcomes in children and improves their quality of life, as well as helps to reduce the risk of disability and achieve stable remission in children with subependymal giant cell astrocytomas.

The program was implemented jointly with the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
