"Helping children with congenital nevus" project The implementation of the project began in 2019 and involved the provision of assistance in the form of a calculated metric of surgical treatment in children with congenital nevus.

Congenital nevus - congenital hyperpigmentation of the certain area of the skin, which is a genetic feature of a person. In the presence of unfavorable factors, there is a potential risk of degeneration of the neoplasm into melanoma, a dangerous disease of human cancers.
The goal of the project is to ensure timely surgical treatment, removal of a congenital nevus to prevent its transformation into a malignant neoplasm; improving the quality of life and the psychological state of children.

Surgical treatment of children with congenital nevus is carried out in the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Moscow.
