Meet the child
Dear donors, Maxim suffers from the congenital malformation of the cardiac conduction system, which causes frequent paraxysms of tachyarrhythmia. In order to control these episodes of arrhythmia, boy is urged to take high doses of anti-arrhythmic drugs, which, unfortunately, aggravating the course of the concomitant illness - asthma. At the moment Maxim is under care of the Children's Cardiac center under the auspices of еру National Scientific & Practical Center "Cardiology". According to the speсialists, Maxim is in need for operation. Due to the technical reasons such operations in Belarus are only performed on the children older than seven years old, therefore Maxim will be operated on in the SANTARISKIU Clinic of the Vilnius University.

The annual charity evening "Red Dress Collection MTS", which took place on November 14 at the National School of Beauty, in Minsk has raised a considerable amount of charitable funds that enabled to  close the fundraising action for Maxim.

"Children Cardiac Center "Cardiology ":

"The patient suffers from persistent attacks of paroxysmal tachycardia with a heart rate of 200-240 beats / min, associated with congenital malformation of the conducting system of the heart (the presence of additional vascular bundle in the heart.) To prevent attacks of tachycardia child has continuously received antiarrhythmic therapy since 2009 (biosotal). The child in also diagnosed with bronchial asthma.м Continuing intake of biosotal aggravates asthma, causing asphyxiation. Attempts to cancel or reduce the dose of anti-arrhythmic drug lead to a resumption of attacks tachyarrhythmias. The surgery is justified for this patient. In order to access the left side of the heart, there is a need to perform intraoperative atrial septal puncture. Due to the technical reasons the implementation of these interventions are only conducted on children of 7 years old and older."

Parents` Letter (30.10.2012)

Dear Chance Foundation, we turn to you for help with our adopted son Maxim. The boy is very inquisitive, intelligent, grasps everything in a flash. Since we have a large family, Maxim is watching older children doing homework — he knows all the letters, numbers etc. He is a great lover of nature. We frequently go to the woods fishing and hiking, Maxim can even catch a fish. He is very loved in the family.

Unfortunately, he suffers from severe heart disease and many related illnesses. The boy has asthma and attacks frequently coincide with episodes of paroxysmal tachycardia. Maxim needs urgent surgery, and we need financial assistance to be able to conduct this operation.
