For more than two years, Gleb was treated for adenoids, but the treatment did not bring the expected results, the boy's condition worsened. The child was sent to the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology, Minsk, where it was found that Gleb had nasopharyngeal angiofibroma (a benign tumor that grows in the inner nasal cavity).
Angiofibroma does not allow the boy to breathe through his nose, and Gleb also does not hear smells at all, and suffers from frequent headaches. Due to the lack of nasal breathing, Gleb began to have problems with speech. A complex operation is required to remove the tumor.
Unfortunately, Belarus does not have the necessary equipment and specialists who carry out such operations. Specialists at the Ilyinsky Hospital (Russia) agreed to admit Gleb for surgical treatment, but it is expensive, the boy's family cannot pay for it on their own.
