The Chance International Children’s Charity Foundation is annoucing the competitive bidding in order to determine supplier of the equipment to be used in the course of carrying-out a charity program “Early detection of children’s hearing impairment”.
The program objective is timely detection and diagnostics of hearing impairment with the newly-born and tender age children in the Republic of Belarus.
The main tasks of the program are:
— provision of continuous process of one-hundred-percent screening and diagnostics of hearing impairment with the newly-born and tender age children by equipping public health organisations with audiologic facilities;
— implementation of the unified computer-based automated system providing acquisition, transmission, processing, storage and analysis of data at the nation-wide level.
The program presupposes stage-by-stage comprehensive approach towards solution of the problem of early detection and diagnostics of children’s hearing pathologies.
The first stage implies introduction of audiologic screening of the newly-born in obstetric establishments of the Republic of Belarus. At this stage equipment complying with technical requirements of LOT 1 is to be used. The second stage implies diagnostics of the nature of detected hearing impairments. At this stage equipment complying with technical requirements of LOT 2 is to be used.
In the course of hearing impairment screening and diagnostics additional equipment is to be used (tympanometer, portative otoscope). Supplier of this equipment will be selected within the framework of a separate competitive bidding within 2014.
The program effectiveness is determined by implementation of the unified computer-based automated system providing acquisition and data exchange among public health organisations, and analysis of research results.
