Meet the child
Pasha soon will be five, he enthusiastically builds castles from a constructor, even being in the hospital, where he is forced to spend a lot of time. The child has neuroblastoma, a malignant tumor that occurs mainly in young children.
Pasha was born a healthy, cheerful child. He loved to play with children, attended kindergarten with pleasure. In July last year, the boy suddenly felt unwell: his stomach ached badly, and his temperature rose. The examination revealed that the boy has retroperitoneal neuroblastoma. Family life was divided into "before" and "after". The boy began treatment according to the protocol at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology.
Today the child has completed six courses of chemotherapy at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology in Borovlyany. Also in December 2020, thanks to your kind participation, the fund assisted the boy in conducting a MIBG examination in Moscow. Currently, Pasha is preparing for an operation to remove the tumor, and the next step is to undergo MIBG therapy.
This therapy reduces the risk of disease progression and relapse - the method allows you to irradiate the tumor from the inside, practically without affecting healthy tissue. Unfortunately, there is no corresponding equipment in Belarus.
