Ilyusha fights against neuroblastoma, he has been treated at the Research Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology since October 2018.
The Foundation has twice paid for the required MIBG-examination in Moscow for Ilyusha. Funds for the MIBG-scintigraphy for Ilya were transfered by the general partner of the fund "Gazprom Transgas Belarus".
The kid is undergoing complex antitumor treatment successfully. To consolidate the results and to avoid recurrence of the disease, anti-GD2 antibody-containing immunotherapy is recommended. Effective immunotherapy holds particular promise for improving survival and quality of life, it is possible to achieve very good results in the treatment of nephroblastoma.
Previously, children were sent to foreign clinics to receive immunotherapy. Ilyusha is the first child to whom this type of therapy will be conducted in Belarus. All necessary conditions are available at the Belarussian Research Center, only the expensive drug Dinutuximab beta is needed.
This year, it is not possible to purchase the medicine for budget funds, but it is very important not to waste time and to get therapy in the coming months.
