Since March 2023, Aleksandr has been treated by the Department of Transplantation. On 9 March, an unrelated allogeneic bone marrow transplantation identical to HLA was performed. During the post-transplant period, Sasha developed a thrombosis microangiopathy associated with a potentially fatal complication. One of the medicines for treating the developmental complication is "Defitelio". Aleksandr was supported through the "Medicines and medical equipment" program.
Sasha needs a total of 126 vials of the medicine «Defitelio» (Defibrotide), which costs $80,600. At the moment, the drug is not available in the RNPC of pediatric oncology, hematology and immunology. Together, let's help the boy get back to a happy and healthy life!
